The History of Honeywood Winery

Honeywood is the oldest producing winery in Oregon, with a history reaching back to 1933. It was founded by Ron Honeyman and John Wood and started as Columbia Distilleries, specializing in fruit brandies, cordials, and liqueurs. The name “Honeywood” did not come from a combination of the two founders’ names but was suggested by an advertising consultant when the two decided to convert the distillery into a winery. Honeywood Winery is close to its ingredients, only minutes away from the fine cane berry fields and fruit orchards of Willamette Valley. The range of wines available varies widely from dessert wines like Marionberry and Mead to Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Wine Club and Wine Tastings

Honeywood Winery is open every day for wine tastings, with no reservation necessary. You can also order wine by the glass and enjoy it on the outdoor patio during warmer months. Honeywood also has a gift shop full of local Oregon products and wine-themed gifts for the wine lover in your life. For wine aficionados, Honeywood also has monthly and yearly wine clubs that get you bottles of wine along with other perks and discounts when you stop by the winery in person. You can even find wine for your dog in the Dog Gone Wine collection!
